Multi Layer Pinball is a 2d pinball game where the player can enter multiple hierarchical stages throughout one ball life, themed around heaven, earth, and hell. This game is not available to play but the full walkthrough can be found in the YouTube video.

My Role: Production

I was responsible for planning the timeline, assigning tasks, and checking their completed work. I also bug tested the build and reported issues to the programmer.

I used Discord to communicate with the team and track the the assets that created for the project. Due to the small team and short timeframe, there was not a lot of direct management needed, most of my was spent checking in for task progress, advising them where to focus their attention next, and changing my design based on the teams constraints. I also managed the GitHub repository and fixed issues that came from the team not pushing and pulling correctly.

My Role: Design

I was responsible for designing the game and building it in the engine.

As designer, I made the goal of the game to score as many points as possible before you lose your ball in the hell stage. Each stage had a special state the player could unlock by hitting the targets. On the hell stage, once you hit all the targets you would be able to escape to the earth stage. On the earth stage, depending on which target you hit more of, you would be taken to the heaven or hell stage when you entered the red star. The heaven stage gave you a lot more points once you entered it but you could only spend a limited amount of time in it before returning to earth. I designed the layout for the 3 stages on paper, then built them in the engine myself with assets that were created by other members of the team.
